The Atlanta Business Chronicle recently featured Pursuant Health in its special section highlighting winners of the Inaugural InnoVenture Awards. Pursuant was named winner in the Growth Stage Healthcare category. The awards honor companies in Atlanta that have drawn attention from investors for their innovative products or services at various funding stages. Winners and finalists are chosen in verticals representing the region’s fastest-growing industries.
The article, “InnoVenture Awards: Health Care – Growth Stage – Pursuant pivots from kiosks to health incentives”, states:
“Atlanta-based Pursuant Health has combined health kiosks that read vital statistics like weight, heart rate and blood pressure with a multi-channel health network including web and mobile applications to create a system that incentivizes healthy behavior to reduce healthcare costs.
Investors initially were intrigued with the kiosks themselves and also liked the company’s pivot to a health data strategy for its unique way of managing health for large populations.”
“The company’s engagement strategy allows it to manage health incentives for the individual, manage an online portal for members and manage the account overall,” said Larry Gerdes, Pursuant’s CEO and Executive Chairman. “This helps the payer comply with certain government programs measuring quality that potentially increase their reimbursement.”
Pursuant Health’s kiosks gathers health data points from 2-3 million United States residents each month and use this data to provide health insights, identify at-risk behaviors, and improve outcomes for health plan members. Gerdes hopes to grow Pursuant’s top line 60-70% this year alone and increase from there.
